Entry

Struct Entry

Source
pub struct Entry {
    pub name: [u8; 21],
    pub name_len: u8,
    pub blocks: u8,
}
Expand description

One file as reported by Card::list.

The fields stay public because games build [Entry; N] listing buffers with a struct literal (voxide’s save menu, the hello-memcard example). Nothing relies on them for memory safety: Entry::name checks both the length and the UTF-8.

Fields§

§name: [u8; 21]

File name bytes (ASCII), name_len valid.

§name_len: u8

Valid length of name.

§blocks: u8

Number of 8 KiB blocks the file occupies.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Entry

Source

pub fn name(&self) -> &str

The file name as a &str.

Names this crate writes are ASCII, but a listing reads whatever bytes the card holds, so a corrupt or foreign card can carry anything. Such a name, or a name_len past the buffer, reads as "?".
