Record every super::write_command into buffer instead of the port, until the returned ActiveRecording is ended or dropped. The ready-waits return at once while recording.

Display-control writes and DMA are not recorded: do not change display state inside a recording, and upload images only through pause_recording (psx-vram’s uploads do).

Panics

In debug builds, if a recording is already open. Release builds close that one first, as dropping its guard would.

Safety

buffer must be valid for words word writes and 4-byte aligned. It must stay live and unmodified (apart from CommandRecording::link_to) until the recording is closed, which a leaked ActiveRecording never does, and after that until every walk of the recording has finished.
